Catholic Schools

The mission of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Venice is to offer a superb education infused with Catholic values, teachings and traditions. Developing a deep love of Christ is the core value of the Diocese schools. Students participate in a rich faith life that includes regular attendance at the Liturgy and participation in the Sacraments.

Currently, the Diocese serves more than 4,500 students in 15 schools ranging from pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The Diocese of Venice is committed to providing a Catholic education to those who desire it. To that end, the Diocese of Venice annually provides over $4,500,000 in direct tuition assistance to families sending their children to Catholic Schools. Many donors choose to establish endowment or scholarship funds to provide tuition assistance for needy students and long-term sustainability for Catholic Schools.

Religious Education

Diocesan Religious Education programs ensure the youth are substantially prepared for the reception of the Sacraments and are incorporated into Parish life, effectively building up the Church in the Diocese of Venice. Currently, over 13,500 Kindergarten through twelfth grade students receive the Gospel message through the Catechetical programs in Parishes throughout the Diocese.

Religious Education also includes adult faith formation programs, which help to enliven the role and mission of the laity. These crucial efforts are at the heart of making missionary disciples within the Diocese.

Scholarships

Scholarships support promising and deserving students by assisting them with the costs of their education. Donors often establish a scholarship to honor or memorialize friends, teachers, family members or other loved ones. Currently, the Catholic Community Foundation provides scholarships for elementary school, middle school, high school, special needs school, college and vocational programs.
